Our Passions
We love intimate worship gatherings in homes (Acts 2:42-46); we love occasional large worship and community gatherings in spaces where God's Spirit moves on peoples souls, bodies, and minds (Acts 8:4-7); we love evangelism that is Spirit-led and conversational like Jesus with the woman at well (John 4); we love leveraging technology, but we appreciate tangible fellowship more, especially when there are a small group of people who can't wait to encourage you and see your face (Hebrews 3:12-14, Hebrews 10:24-26); we love conversational learning more than a one-hour sermon; we love the Bible and believe it is our primary source of faith (2 Timothy 3:16); we love cultural, gender and age diversity (Galatians 3:28); we love experiencing the Holy Spirit's presence and power as we wait upon him (John 16:13, Acts 1:8); we like to use offerings to help the weak/struggling families/kingdom leaders/other Churches, rather than paying rent on expensive buildings and projects that don't directly benefit people (2 Corinthians 9:8-10, Galatians 2:10, Romans 15:26); we love not stressing about who is going to preach and sing on the stage every Sunday becuase everyone in our gatherings is ready to sing and share God's Word(1 Corinthians 14:26); oh yeah...we love eating together and having communion regularly; we love knowing that our bond is not based on Church building or Church employment, but faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who has made us one. We are family no matter what Church we attend or City we move too. We love the elegance of returning to a fluid and organic Church, as witnessed in the book Acts and the life of Jesus. He never owned a building, managed flow charts, or had a marketing strategy. A few things we dislike; Pharisaism that makes human tradition equivalent to Biblical Truth (Our preferences are not Bible either) or better than others, rather it is just what we like/love; putting Business over Church Family; calling our Building Church (We as believers are the Church that Jesus died for); Putting Big Vision over the Care and Discipleship of Jesus' sheep, especially the socially awkward, morally struggling or quiet ones who get lost in the crowd and noise of our praise music on Sundays (1 Corinthians 12:21-23). Jesus is sparking a discipleship movement in South Florida and around the world that is simple, biblical, relational, and led by Five-Fold leaders who are committed to empower and equip His sheep towards maturity, interdependence, and God's ministry for their lives. We love what the Holy Spirit outlines in Ephesians 4:11-16 as our job description. Join us if you dare to go back to a more simple Christianity or want to follow Jesus for the first time without all the trappings of man-made religion. We love Jesus and You! Oh yeah, it is only becuase of Jesus that we love you so much!
